Dr. Webb grew up in Canada, graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in 1974. After interning in Flint, Michigan followed by a postgraduate year in England (in Anesthesia and in Obstetrics), he practiced family medicine in Melfort, SK for 19 years until immigrating to Florence, AL in 1995, where he continued a family practice until 2002.

Since then, his practice has been limited to geriatrics and palliative care. He is Board Certified both in Family Practice and in Hospice & Palliative Medicine in the U.S.

He is Medical Director of the Supportive Care Services Department at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital- which includes Palliative Care and a new OASIS unit [Older Adult Specialty Inpatient Service]- and chair of the Ethics Committee. In addition, he is Medical Director at the El Reposo and Lauderdale Christian Nursing Homes, and Medical Director of Hospice of the Shoals.

He has given numerous presentation to health care professionals and to public groups throughout Alabama, as well as in Canada, Tennessee, and Florida, on topics related to geriatric care in general and palliative medicine in particular. Dr. Saquib Anjum

Hospice & Palliative Care Certified Physician

Saquib Anjum, MD, is a Geriatric Medicine and Palliative care physician. He trained in internal medicine at the Chicago Medical School at the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS), Geriatric Medicine at the Washington University in Saint Louis (WASHU) and Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). He holds a national certification with American Board of Internal Medicine. He was born and raised in India. His professional interest is palliative symptoms management and chronic progressive dementias. Outside of medicine, he loves to travel.
